Inspiration for Christ In My Life

During my first pregnancy, my anxiety was so strong and unrelenting that only one thing brought me a sense of peace. That was imagining my daughter living her life and growing up with Jesus right beside her. I would imagine her playing with Jesus at the park, Jesus comforting her when she got a skinned knee, Jesus looking upon her with a smile as she said her evening prayers, or Jesus standing next to the priest as she stands in front of the church about to say I do to the love of her life. 

The only person who could possibly love my children more than me is Jesus. No matter what happens in this world, it comforts me to know that Jesus will always be right by their side guiding, protecting, loving, and watching over them.

Ever since I have wanted to bring these images in my mind to life. I worked for 3 years to learn the skills of photoshop and photography. As my children started to grow up and we started teaching them about Jesus and their faith, we realized how abstract a concept Jesus could be for a young child. That is when a beautiful thing happened. While creating this art, we saw our daughter’s relationship grow as she saw herself interacting with Jesus through my art. He was no longer abstract but a real visual presence in her day to day life.

I hope to help many families in the same way by bringing their children to Christ though art. By seeing the interaction of themselves and Christ and praying along daily with recorded prayers in the “voice of Christ”, Jesus will become much more real to even the youngest children.

What this art accomplishes: This is a tool to help you support your child on their journey to a lifelong friendship with Jesus.

How does art help children in particular? When you are forming a relationship it takes two parts: knowing who you are interacting with and experiences. In our day to day relationships, the first part takes care of itself because you can see and hear the person. We can’t be face to face with Christ, yet the child’s mind has to focus on both imagining Christ and on prayer/experiences. By giving them a visual representation of Christ interacting with them as a friend in their day to day life, it helps make Him concrete so the child can focus on prayer and building the relationship.

That is what this art is meant to do, make Jesus visual and concrete as possible. I didn’t want this to just be another piece of art. I wanted it to be created especially for your child to help them with their relationship with Jesus as well. That is why I decided to make this art interactive so that the children can say their morning and night prayers with the voice of Jesus. These prayers can even be personalized to say your child’s name. By fostering a relationship with Jesus at a young age, they will have the tools and support they need as they get older and start to enter the real world. 

Moms, we only have a short amount of time to make a big impact on our children before they go out into the world that is very much designed to make them falter. 

How else can Christ in my life support me/my family? In order to help our children succeed in living a Christ-centered life, we must first model how to do this for our children. I want to create art with you to help your children and support you with all the resources I can find for you, BUT I also want to help you find the peace in your motherhood that you have always been searching for. I want to help you with that never ending to do list, all the overwhelm that is weighing you down, and intrusive thoughts. Why am I so passionate about this?

Simple. We are all called to be saints and that is a high calling. My dream is this: I want to celebrate with each and every one of you and your children someday in Heaven.

1. Choose the scene you want to have your child appear in and what customized size canvas will be shipped to you.

2. Follow the instructions/video of how to take a photo of your child and email it so the artist can add your child to scene.
